Two people are in critical condition after a car crash in Brookline.

Officials said the car, driven by a male, crashed into a utility pole on Saw Mill Run Boulevard around 4:30 p.m.

Police said a female in the passenger seat was ejected from the car during the crash.

The victims, whose names have not been released, were taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, officials said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
